Archives: Yuen Shiu Wu Honorable advisor
Mr. Yuen came to Montreal in the early 1950's. Shortly after his arrival
he worked at Chong Wah Noodle Manufacturing Company. One day the Machinery
broke down and Mr. Yuen made an effort to fix it. This surprised his boss,
Mr. Paul Woo's father. Who asked for Mr. Yuen's background. The boss found
out that Mr. Yuen worked as a mechanic at a transporter company during the
Japanese War in China. He was considered one of the pioneer technical immigrants
for China.
The hard working Yuen later established his own Noodle factory and Restaurant.
Our honorable advisor, Mr. Yuen show great interest in Gee How Tong, always
encouraging younger generations to participate in building up the furture
